We’ve got a water heater in the closet and another switch with a note that says ‘Do Not Move’. If you remember in one of my other videos there were several switches like that in another house we bought in Altoona, FL. I moved those switches and nothing happened. There’s no power on here though, so I can’t see what happens when this switch is turned on.

This is the living room area here. It looks like there’s a fireplace that’s been covered up. The kitchen is pretty basic, with older cabinets. It’s fairly typical of what you would expect in an older house out here in Lake County, FL especially in Paisley. This would be a good house for someone who just wants to get away from things. It kinda reminds me of a hunting cabin, if that makes any sense. That’s the kitchen and the dining room, and this looks like a room that was added on.

This might be a bedroom. There is a bed frame here. Somebody was using it as a bedroom. It looks like there is a bathroom off to the side here. Just a little bathroom with a shower over on the side. It doesn’t look like there’s much going on otherwise.

It’s very strange to see the block walls on the inside, but I guess that’s how they did it back in 1962. There is a water spot on the ceiling over here. It looks like water has come in. The roof is not in very good shape. It looks like it has definitely seen better days. I’m gonna figure out how to get out of here and go out to the backyard. Then, I’ll show you the rest of the property and the lake.

The Backyard

Walking around the back of the house, one of the other interesting things you’ll notice about this house in Paisley is that the lot is very narrow. We’ve actually gotta get some equipment back here to haul off this junk, and it’s gonna be a pretty tight squeeze to get through that space between the fence and the house. We’ll see how that goes!

This is the back of the house here, and you can see it has seen better days. There is a lot of stuff to get cleaned out. There is a lot of junk laying around. You’ve got these two sheds here that are full of stuff. This is the back of the house. Now I’ll take you down to the lake.

This is a pie-shaped lot which is why it’s so narrow in some spots, which is fairly typical of lakefront properties in Lake County. The houses usually sit closer together because so many people want to live on the lake. You can kind of see the lake here right out the back. There’s only a small strip of land that actually connects to the lake because of the shape of the lot. It looks like a pretty decent lake. It’s not one of those lakes that dries up and goes away when we don’t have rain. It’s a legitimate lake that should be a nice little spot for somebody.

Here’s the lake here. You can’t really access it because there’s a gate with a lock on it. There is a dock back over there. And there’s this piece of fence along here which we’ll get cleaned up so that you can actually walk down to the lake.

That is about it for this house in Paisley. As I said, the lady who owned it passed away, and then it ultimately went to foreclosure, which is how we ended up with it. We’ll get started working on this one get it all cleaned up and get it resold.
